The Power of W

To achieve these objectives, the project will implement various activities such as awareness-raising campaigns, training and mentoring programs, advocacy for gender equality policies and practices, gender impact assessments of energy projects, and knowledge-sharing and collaboration events. 

The ultimate goal of the project is to promote gender equality in the energy sector and contribute to the development of sustainable energy solutions that benefit everyone in European towns and communities, with a specific focus on the needs and priorities of women. 

General objectives of the project “Energy Challenge: The Power of “W” – Sustainable Energy for Developing European Towns” is to: 

– Empower and involve women in the development of sustainable energy solutions in European towns and communities. 

– Increase the participation of women in the energy sector, including in decision-making positions, by raising awareness of the importance of gender diversity and promoting gender equality. 

– Build capacity among women in the energy sector, including training and mentoring programs, to develop skills and expertise in sustainable energy solutions. 

– Encourage the development of sustainable energy solutions that meet the needs and priorities of women in European towns and communities, taking into account their perspectives and experiences. 

– Promote the sharing of knowledge and best practices in sustainable energy solutions among women in European towns and communities, to foster collaboration and learning. 

– Raise awareness of the benefits of sustainable energy solutions, including environmental, social, and economic benefits, among women in European towns and communities, to promote their uptake and adoption.
