Growing skills for resilient careers

The youth exchange „Growing skills for resilient careers” will gather 28 participants and 7 group leaders from Romania, Greece, Spain, Portugal, North Macedonia, Bulgaria and Italy. The  participants will have a chance to go through a different learning experience during which they will use several practical tools that aim at fostering various skills and abilities that they can use in school, such as: leadership, collaboration, critical thinking, communication and decision making.

The main objectives of the project are:

O1. To develop Social and Personal Competence of 28 young people.

O2. To raise awareness about the importance of Social and Personal Competencies for the workplace of at least 500 people.

The purpose of the project is to enhance young people’s competencies required by future employers. The unemployment medium rate for the EU for youngsters (15-29 years old) is 7.1. In Romania the unemployment rate for the same age group is 5,5, higher with 0,7% than in 2020, for Bulgaria it stayed the same at 3,7. For Spain, the unemployment rate was in 2021 14, making it the first European country regarding unemployment. Italy is also in the top 5 countries regarding unemployment with a rate of 8,5. Portugal has a rate of 7,7, Armenia 20,9 and in North Macedonia 16,20.

Taking into consideration all of the above we believe that it is a clear need of developing competencies not job related, but which can make youngsters shine during an interview and can assure them success in getting and keeping the job they want.
