FutureEU
Conference on the Future of Europe to increase EU citizens participation, a Network of Cities focused on disseminating the future conclusions of the European Union, as well as collecting ideas that can later be taken to the European Commission for its future implementation.
The project foresees a total of 8 international meetings in which the participants will organize conferences, workshops, open debates, but also some alternative and more dynamic activities to create a stimulating environment.
Around 20 young citizens will have the opportunity to raise their awareness of the enormous importance of their role in decision-making processes and their responsibility as European citizens in building a more inclusive Europe, both through exchanging views with other participants, such as through the discussions and debates that will take place during the events and through the results of the project.
Conference on the Future of Europe to increase EU citizens participation, a Network of Cities focused on disseminating the future conclusions of the European Union, as well as collecting ideas that can later be taken to the European Commission for its future implementation. In this way, this project aims to create an international consortium made up of 8 cities or associations to reflect on the Conference on the Future of Europe and launch their own proposals.
For this, the network partners will work together developing a protocol and putting it into practice so that citizens know the European institutions, their operation, political instruments and mobilize civil society to comply with the requirements for the citizens’ initiative to be debated in the forums of the European Commission.

To ensure proper and efficient communication and implementation of activities, different experts will be invited to support particular activities in each territory involved, inviting EU representatives where possible to participate in the activities as well. FUTUREU will be implemented in 8 different EU countries, involving small, medium and large cities and very active civil society organizations in their own territories.
The project will organize 8 events of international projects in the 8 different countries. The 8 events will be organized in the project partners’ home cities: Almussafes, Bucharest, Warsaw, Gharb, Diosd, Rotterdam and Farkadona. The events will be organized on different dates, which will mainly coincide with local cultural events or programs to maximize the impact, the participation of the participants and the effectiveness of the dissemination activities.
